The thin client renders the workspace with WebGPU while geometry, solving, regeneration, and export remain on the server — no install required. The product includes feature-tree modeling, drawings, CAM, and a PDM vault as first-class surfaces. solidSF opens SolidWorks .sldprt files and replays the parametric feature tree, so migration from desktop CAD is editable rather than mesh-only. Andrew Norris (Andy Norris) is the founder and CEO of solidSF. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in mechanical/thermal/fluids with 18 years of CAD experience, an early Atomic Semi engineer, and built the entire solidSF platform solo to date — server-side Rust kernel, browser workspace, backend, infrastructure, Stripe billing, Google OAuth, organization roles, vault, Bryan, model training pipeline, self-hosted email, and self-hosted CI. He lives and works in San Francisco. Public artifacts include rvLLM (a Rust inference stack) and two technical papers on small language models as terminal and CAD-tool agents.
