solidSF is browser-native parametric CAD with a custom Rust kernel and native AI agents, founded by Andrew Norris in San Francisco in 2025. The product runs entirely in a browser tab on WebGPU and WebAssembly — no install, no license server — and includes feature-tree modeling, drawings, CAM, and a PDM vault as first-class surfaces. solidSF opens SolidWorks .sldprt files and replays the parametric feature tree, so migration from desktop CAD is editable rather than mesh-only. Pricing starts at $29/month for individuals, with team, enterprise, private, and protected deployment tiers above. Students get full access free at uni.solidsf.com.

Andrew Norris (Andy Norris) is the founder and CEO of solidSF. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in mechanical/thermal/fluids with 18 years of CAD experience, an early Atomic Semi engineer, and built the entire solidSF platform solo to date — Rust kernel, browser workspace, backend, infrastructure, Stripe billing, Google OAuth, organization roles, vault, agent stack, model training pipeline, self-hosted email, and self-hosted CI. He lives and works in San Francisco. Public artifacts include rvLLM (a Rust drop-in vLLM replacement) and two technical papers on small language models as terminal and CAD-tool agents.
